Window Tint Faq’s
How long does installation take?
Installation time varies between 2 to 4 hours depending on the year, make, and model of your vehicle and the # of windows. Generally, 2 front windows only, will take up to 1 hour and a full vehicle window tint consisting of 4 doors and back glass, will take up to 4 hours. However, we always recommend that you drop your vehicle off, which will allow us to take our time and be meticulous with your vehicle installation service.
How do I Maintain my Tint?
Maintenance is very easy. We recommend a good spray foam glass cleaner, which will lift debris and smudges to the surface doing most of the work for you, and wipe off with a clean “lint-free” towel. If you are a smoker (cigs or vapor), we recommend doing this on a regular basis to prevent smoke build-up on your windows. If you go “off-roading” we recommend doing this very frequently, both inside and outside of the glass, to help to prevent scratches to the inside and outside of the glass from dirt or sand.
How long do I have to keep my windows up after installation?
We recommend keeping your windows up for at least 3-5 days. If the windows are put down before that time frame you may cause damage to your new purchase. As a precaution, after tinting, we install “Do not roll down…” stickers on top of your window control along with turning ON your vehicle’s window lock to help to prevent this issue. Should this issue happen we can redo your window, but it is not covered under the manufacturer’s or installation warranty.
Is the window film installed on the inside or the outside of the vehicle?
Window film is installed on the inside of the glass. First, the film is laid on the outside of the vehicle’s windows and marked to fit. Then, those pieces are then placed on a large piece of glass and trimmed down before being installed on the inside of the windows. Or for a back window or windshield visor, the window film is put on the outside allowing us to heat shrink to fit the shape and contour of the glass. Then, the film is trimmed down before being installed on the inside of the back or the front glass.
